Mrs. Cherney was born in Michigan and attended three Lutheran grade schools before continuing her education at Michigan Lutheran Seminary. She attended Martin Luther College, where she graduated with a double major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. Since then, she has been blessed to serve God and His people as an educator, writer, wife, mom, and overall person in Michigan, Wisconsin, Virginia, Wisconsin, California, and Wisconsin again.

In addition to her time in the classroom, Mrs. Cherney works for Reach All Readers as a writer, editor, and content creator.

In her free time, Mrs. Cherney likes to hike, read, write, and spend time with her family.
