The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) creates School Report Cards and District Report Cards for publicly funded schools and districts in the state. Starting with the 2015-16 school year, report cards for private schools participating in the choice program are required by law. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School also elects to submit necessary data for all students to DPI so that an "all school" report card can be generated, separate from the Choice Report Card.

Because private schools, including Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School, are relatively new to the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program and have only recently begun to submit data necessary to generate report cards, the following should be considered:
- Complete report card ratings cannot be generated for Choice student populations OR for the entire school unless there are two years of data and at least 20 students within the group or sub-group. For that reason, there is some attendance and testing data on both report cards, but there will be no longitudinal data related to test scores until after 2022-2023 school year.
- Since SVLS elected to submit all-school data already during the 2021-2022 school year, we will be able to receive a complete all-school report card rating after the 2022-2023 school year.
