2nd Semester Mission – Our mission offerings this semester are being collected for Costa Maya Ministries, a relatively new ministry in the Yucatan Peninsula area of Mexico, on the Caribbean coast near Belize. So far this semester, we’ve gathered $1694.86 to support Christ’s work here. Of that total the SVLS children have offered $694.86. A gracious thank you to all and may God continue to bless the work he has started in this area.
Robotics Interest Survey - If your child has any interest in being on a VEX IQ Robotics team for next school year, please complete the survey that Mr. Steinmetz recently sent out.
Your child doesn't need to be proficient in robotics, or even be familiar with robotics or programming to be involved! We will be ordering supplies this summer, and we'd like to have a ballpark idea for how many kits to order.
Check out this short 2.5 minute video to see what VEX IQ Robotics is all about, and this video to see some of the robots the kids would build and refine.
Last Day Graduation Service - Our last day of school is this Wednesday, May 22. We have 12:00 dismissal from school on that day. We'll have our final chapel service on Wednesday as well.
Our graduation service is Wednesday evening at 6:30pm at the K-8 campus. All students in K-8 will be singing for the service and will be sitting in the front of church according to their grade level. Report cards will be distributed in your child's classroom after the graduation service. No report cards will be handed out before the graduation service.
Parade Walkers Requested - St. Luke's is looking for people to walk in the Little Chute CheeseFest Parade on Saturday, June 1 at 10:30am. The parade length is about 1 mile, and walkers would be distributing water bottles. There will be bus transport from church to the parade staging area at 9:45, and also from the end of the parade back to church, with a light lunch to follow. Please contact Mike Brinkman (email@example.com) for more information or to volunteer.
Gift Card Collection for New Teacher
At the beginning of 2019, Mr. Benjamin Edmundson accepted the call to teach grades 5th & 6th and the role of Athletic Director starting with the 2019-2020 school year.
He will be moving to the Fox Valley during the summer and we would like to welcome him to the area and our school family.
We will be collecting gift cards to give him as a welcome gift. So pick your favorite grocery store, gas station, restaurant, movie theater, etc. and send the gift card to school in an envelope marked "CPTA" before the end of the school year. Or if it's easier for you, just send cash and CPTA will order scrip cards for him.
Divine Call - SVLS has called Mrs. Ashley Steinmetz to be our preschool director and 5 day lead teacher. Please keep Mrs. Steinmetz in your prayers as she deliberates this call.
