We hope our new programs will allow even more families to make use of our preschool. Preschool will run five days a week from 8:30-11:30am. The classroom will have both three and four-year-old children with a lead teacher and a teacher’s assistant. Families can choose between a 2 day (Tu. & Th.), 3 day (M,W,F), or 5 days a week option. We will now offer Before Care from 7-8:30am and After Care from 11:30am–5:30pm. This will allow families to use us as a full day program. The After Care will consist of outside time, lunch, rest time, and free play. Shepherd of the Valley is having a Preschool Information Night on January 24th at 6:30pm at Preschool. FORENSICS: This year students in grades 5-8 are being encouraged to participate as a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School Forensics Team that is under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Kasten. Forensics involves public speaking in 8 different categories. Information about the different categories and a parental permission form have been given to all students in grades 5 - 8. The classroom teachers of grades 5-8 have approved student practice during the school day. The Forensics Team will be presenting on March 2nd at 8:45 am at the SVLS Fellowship Breakfast. They will also present the evening of March 2nd for a SVLS Forensics Night at 6:30 pm. On Thursday, March 8th at 5 pm 10 students will compete at Trinity, Neenah. On Tuesday, March 13 all students in Forensics will present at Fox Valley Lutheran at 5:00 pm. Please return the parental permission form with the category your child wishes to enter to their teacher by Thursday, January 11th so that practices may begin. Monday
